Sundering or Shocking upgrade on ur Weapon?
I have been thinking about this alot. One sundering give 10% armor pen 10% of the time (thats if u have the max upgrade). Now i think i have figured something out that is better (plz correct me if im not the first to figure this out or if im wrong). But since lightning dmg is 25% the hole time wouldn't it be better to get the shoking upgrade? plz correct me as i said before if this is wrong? Anyways i was just really excited about my new discovery!!

I wasn't aware lightning damage had 25% armor penetration the entire time...? I don't think it does, if it did there wouldn't need to be skills in the air magic attribute that say "25% armor penetration".

umm... lightning damage doesn't have an initial 25% AP...
but... nonetheless... i'd go with the lightning damage mod... just cause Sundering is pure crap... and it gives u something to switch to incase ur target is using something to evade physical dmg |

Lightning damage is lightning damage. The only thing that changes is elemental property. That's like saying firey(fiery? whatever) sword hilts set people on fire by default. The air skills do penetrate armor, yes. But the weapon mods do not, or everyone would be using shocking bow strings and conjure lightning.
Also, in case anyone catches the flaw in my above statement, no, not ALL air skills penetrate armor. Only the ones that say so Last edited by Lasareth; Dec 07, 2005 at 03:10 AM // 03:10.. |

It is a common mistake to think that Lightning gives AP. Since literally 99% of the attack style Lightning spells DO happen to have AP - but thats on a skill to skill basis and is not default.
